It was a great meeting with the board members of DAV College, Dehradun regarding the World Peace and UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030. Principal Dr. Saksena is a great personality who has amazing leadership skills and promotion g modern education among the students. His students are socially ignited.
It was great meeting with Swami Chidanand Ji and Sadhvi Ji and attended Ganga Aarti AS SPECIAL GUEST.Had a wonderful discussion regarding Global peace. Swamiji has a great vision who talks about Inter-religion Unity and Sustainable Development of our Nation which is real need of the hour.He is one of the finest priests I have ever met.We really need Dharam Gurus like him.
Youth for Human Rights India is hosting its “GLOBAL PEACE AND HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT 2019 AND AWARDS” in Lucknow on the 23rd to 24th of November. This global summit is an opportunity for people all over the world to avail an unbiased platform to contribute towards humanitarian development and put forth their views and achievements for a broader platform to acknowledge. The goal of this summit is to unite Youth and adults from the globe to talk about innovation, implementation of best practices for promotion, education and training of human Rights and UNSDGs. The participants and guests will come from all around the world, which will include dignitaries from the Government of India and other countries. Youth for Human Rights India envisions a better future for generations to come. Our Vision as an organization is to imbibe our principal methods that promote human rights and understanding of sustainable development goals 2030 and commitment to achieve them. On 14th and 15th January, 2019, Kite Festival named Uttarayan was held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti under the leadership of Pastor Ankur Thakor from Gujarat Chapter. On the kites all the 30 Human rights were written so that people have full knowledge of what are our Human Rights and how should we inculcate it in our lives. People from all age groups flew kites with UDHR Human Rights written on them. The idea was to let people know of our Human Rights and also to soar our entire Human Rights high in the sky. This event took place in District Kheda of Bhaner, Gujarat India.
On 23rd June, 2018 Third National Conference on Human Rights and Gender Justice 2018 was organized by Headquarters Team in association with Knowledgesteez. A total of 120 participants were there which included students, advocates as well as professors. This conference was held in Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. This conference made a lot of impact as Human Rights and Gender justice in today’s world are of utmost importance.
On 24th August, 2019 an awareness class on Human Rights was organized by Karnataka Chapter with Public Care Human Rights Protection. A total of 380 participants took part in this awareness class which included the School Head Mistress and Public Care Human Rights Protection Staff. This awareness class was held in Jain High School, Moodbidri, Karnataka. Participants were informed about Human Rights and its importance.
On 19th August 2018 a cricket match was organized under Human Right- Right to Play. This match was in between YHR- INDIA team and Thrill Zone Team of Uttarakhand. It was organized by Uttarakhand Chapter and was sponsored by Headquarters Team. With a total of 35 participants the match was organized in Cricket Ground, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. An enthralling performance was given by the participants, YHR-INDIA being the winner.
On 22nd April, 2018 International Model United Nations Conference was held in Graphic Era Hill University, Dehdradun. A total of 550 students were present in this conference. Dr. Arjumand Zaidi- National President (Youth for Human Rights India) was the Guest of Honor. She addressed and motivated so many youth delegates who came from all parts of the country and from different colleges and universities. She also appreciated the efforts of GEU by saying “GEU is indeed a beautiful institution imparting quality education. It was indeed a very fruitful exclusive discussion with the VC regarding Human Rights progress in our country.”
On 8th December, 2018 a human rights workshop was organized by Youth for Human Rights India, Lucknow Headquarters in Seth MR Jaipuria School. The workshop was led by National President of Youth for Human Rights India- Dr. Arjumand Zaidi. A total of 42 adults and 280 students enthusiastically took part in this workshop. They were informed about the human rights and also encouraged them to follow it.
